I always do a quick inventory of what we have in the fridge/freezer/pantry to plan the week's meals. This week the list to work from included: dry beans rice 91/2 dozen farm eggs from a dear lady at church! 2 gallons milk ricotta cheese carrots onions potatoes cake mix/icing in the freezer: 2.5 pounds of cooked ground turkey 1 pound of cooked italian turkey sausage bacon sausage pork roast whole chicken I also take notice of staples that we need. On the list this week: sugar unbleached flour cornbread mix oatmeal bran flakes butter Now I just plug in the menu list accordingly. The forecast the first three days of the week includes lots of cold rain-y weather. So I'm taking advantage of a couple more soup days before it gets warmer!
