All my girls except for Anna have been blankie girls. Wendy and Lily have been very attached to their blankets. Wendy has a pink Martha Stewart blanket, from my Aunt Barbara, that has been worn so thin it is barely in one piece-thinner than a dryer sheet with big holes. She loves it still and says it is beautiful. I bought her a similar but thicker blanket when she was 2 to see if we could "replace" the grubby one. She wanted nothing to do with the new one I offered, but thankfully Lily took right to that one and it did not go to waste!

What a lovely blankie. I need to make several baby gifts, so I think I'll check out the bamboo yarn. Was it horribly expensive? Do you recall what size (# of ounces) the skeins were? I love soft, smooshie yarn!
And the card with the foot prints - very yummy! I used to try to keep actual baby feet on hand to stamp stuff like that, but lately I'm "out of stock." LOL Have to wait for grand-babies. :D
Thanks for linking!
I was a pricey yarn. $4.99 for a small ball. I took two of each color, but I did use coupons on it so it wasn't quite as much. Now that I have made it... this yarn is great for a keepsake type item, not sure how this will hold up to regualar use and washings. It is a hand wash type of yarn. I also think it would "pick" easily. Baby yarn or cotton yarn is probably a better choice if it is going to actually be used.
I love this yarn the colors are gorgeous and it looks very soft! I just love any kind of yarn. I was always attatched to blankies when I was little Specifically the thermal blankies with the tags, the tag was my fave :) Thats why I think I like fleece blankets so much! But Nathan doesn't really care for any blanket in particular.
That is such a beautiful blanket!
