(groan)

I do want to encourage you to eat plenty of protein, to avoid using your own muscle for energy, which lowers your metabolism in the long run. (more muscle = higher metabolism)

Also, I wonder how this is going to work with your family. I cannot afford to feed my entire family low carb, but if I make myself a chicken breast, and try to feed them a chicken and rice casserole, that does not go over very well. My family would prefer plain cuts of meet with side dishes, but it is very expensive to serve 12 plus chicken breasts or steaks or pork chops night after night. I would love to hear how you pull this off!!!

I am hoping to discover more posts on this subject as I continue reading through your blog!!!busymomof10https://www.blogger.com/profile/16801397516931688515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238464117638942071.post-33230961286330678682009-06-11T16:27:51.159-04:002009-06-11T16:27:51.159-04:00Low Carbs is so hard for me, but I've had succ...Low Carbs is so hard for me, but I've had success in the past using it to get jump started. You may feel a little sluggish, but when all the junk gets out of your system you will get amazing energy! I have taken off about 40 so far. About the time I hit a stand still I took up walking about 3 mi. a day and the weight really started going off again. I did not give up coffee or 1 Dark Chocolate bar a day (sometimes more than 1) everything else I eat is healthy. Years ago I did take off over 60 and had cut out all sweets, but a few babies later it had come back. I find I don't feel deprived if I have the chocolate, and I stick to eating better.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238464117638942071.post-50697069096584140872009-06-08T21:55:29.468-04:002009-06-08T21:55:29.468-04:00Monica, I started the low carb thing about 6 weeks...Monica, I started the low carb thing about 6 weeks ago.
